Hockey club Ryazan-VDV has signed a contract with 20-year-old defender Mikhail Ipatov, strengthening the roster ahead of the new season of the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL). Team representatives announced this on January 30.

Ipatov moved to the Ryazan club from Nizhny Novgorod«s Torpedo in exchange for monetary compensation.

Mikhail Ipatov was born on March 23, 2005, in Nizhny Novgorod. With Chaika, the young defender played exactly one hundred matches and scored 16 points, and it was there that he established himself as a reliable defensive player.

Recently, Ipatov played for Torpedo and participated in 16 matches of the VHL regular championship.
