Lukashenko Congratulates Belarusian Biathlon Team with Lard
Belarusian biathletes received unusual gifts from the president after winning the mixed relay.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the national biathlon team on their victory at the Commonwealth Cup stage. As a gift, the athletes were given lard, bread, and drinks, as reported on January 28 by the Telegram channel «Pul Pervogo».
The Belarusian biathlon team received lard, bread, and drinks as gifts from President Lukashenko after their relay victory.
The «Belarus-1» team won the mixed 4x6 km relay in Raubichi. The team«s result was 1 hour 18 minutes 48 seconds with three misses at the shooting ranges. The gifts were presented on behalf of the head of state by presidential press secretary Natalya Eismont.
It is noted that she conveyed Lukashenko«s words: »If there can be doping in the sports world, it«s only this kind – in the form of lard, bread, and drinks.» The biathletes thanked for the attention and support.
The competitions were held at the Republican Olympic Training Center «Raubichi». The next stage of the tournament is scheduled in Sochi from February 11 to 15.
Russia and Belarus are participating in the Commonwealth Cup because they are suspended from international starts under the auspices of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
