Kirill Pilipenko Joins Omsk Avangard as Promising Forward

The roster of Omsk Avangard has been bolstered by 29-year-old forward Kirill Pilipenko, who spent the last five seasons with Cherepovets Severstal and is one of the leaders of that team. The management of the Omsk club hopes that the move to the «hawks» will allow Kirill Pilipenko to reveal a new side of himself.
«We really wanted to strengthen the attack with precisely this type of player, who is capable of making a precise shot in the final stage of an attack. It is obvious that after bright seasons at »Severstal« he needs a new challenge. The player will join the team as early as Monday. When will we see him on the ice? That»s up to the coaches. I think it«s worth considering the fact that Kirill has been without game practice for some time,» said Avangard general manager Alexei Sopin.
In total, in the KHL, the forward has played 290 games, in which he scored 205 points (103 goals + 102 assists). In 2013, Pilipenko became a bronze medalist in the MHL championship, and in 2017 he won the Gagarin Cup as part of Yugra. In Avangard, the promising hockey player will play under number 23.
Earlier we reported that Avangard captain Damir Sharipzyanov continues to set records.
