IOC invites four Russian athletes to 2026 Olympics

The International Olympic Committee has sent official invitations to four more athletes from Russia to participate in the 2026 Winter Games.

On January 21, the IOC announced the sending of invitations to four Russian athletes for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy. They include skiers Savely Korostelev and Daria Nepryayeva, as well as speed skaters Ksenia Korzhova and Anastasia Semyonova.
All these athletes have successfully passed the commission for the admission of neutral participants and have received the right to compete at the Games without national symbols.
Savely Korostelev is a four-time Russian champion and leads the country«s cup. Daria Nepryayeva is a two-time Russian champion. Ksenia Korzhova earned an Olympic license in the 3000-meter distance, and Anastasia Semyonova in the mass start.
Earlier, invitations for the 2026 Olympics were already received by figure skaters Adelia Petrosyan and Pyotr Gumennik, ski mountaineer Nikita Filippov, and short track speed skaters Ivan Posashkov and Alena Krylova. Thus, the list of Russian participants in the Games in neutral status continues to expand.
The Winter Olympic Games will be held from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d«Ampezzo.
