On January 28, the Zenit basketball club officially confirmed the appointment of Dejan Radonjic as head coach of the main team. The agreement with the Montenegrin specialist is valid until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Radonjic«s coaching career began in 2005 at the club Buducnost, where he won numerous national titles. Later, while leading Red Star Belgrade, he won the Adriatic League, the Serbian championship, and the national Cup several times, and also led the team to the EuroLeague quarterfinals.
In Germany, Radonjic worked with Bayern Munich, becoming the Bundesliga champion twice. He also managed the Greek Panathinaikos and the Turkish Bahcesehir, from where he moved to Zenit. In addition, the Montenegrin specialist led the national team of his country, participating with it in EuroBasket 2011.
