After Lokomotiv«s away victory over SKA with a score of 3:1 on January 27, the Yaroslavl coach Bob Hartley answered a question about the veteran»s inexhaustible motivation.
«I can»t explain where he gets his energy from. But he«s an excellent professional, first on the ice during training, often the last to leave. The ice palace is his home. He carries this through his entire career. He»s one of those hockey players who appreciates and loves hockey,« Hartley stated.
Alexander Radulov, a native of Nizhny Tagil, has previously played in the NHL, for Salavat Yulaev, CSKA, and Ak Bars. He moved to Lokomotiv before the start of the 2024/2025 season and with them became a Gagarin Cup winner. In early January, the club extended its agreement with the forward until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
The hockey player«s agency confirmed that the decision to extend the contract was mutual. »It was important for us to understand if Sasha himself was ready to keep playing. The man feels he has the strength and is ready to extend his career. We didn«t even think about other clubs. Radulov is completely satisfied with everything in Yaroslavl,» the representatives explained.
