Avangard sends Klim Kostin to CSKA in trade

Hockey club Avangard (Avangard Omsk) has traded 26-year-old forward Klim Kostin to Moscow's CSKA (Central Sports Club of the Army). In return, the Omsk-based team receives 21-year-old forward Kirill Dolzhenkov and the sports rights to forward Yegor Afanasyev.

Hockey club Avangard has traded 26-year-old forward Klim Kostin to Moscow«s CSKA. The Omsk team will receive 21-year-old forward Kirill Dolzhenkov and the sports rights to forward Yegor Afanasyev. This was reported in Avangard»s Telegram channel.

«We are glad that the deal with CSKA has been completed. The Army Men were interested in acquiring Klim Kostin. In turn, we wanted to get good compensation. Kirill Dolzhenkov is a young, large-framed, progressing forward. Standing almost two meters tall, the player is well-coordinated and has good skating skills. Kirill does not lack sporting audacity. I am confident he will fit perfectly into the lineup and add depth,» said Avangard«s general manager Alexei Sopin.

Dolzhenkov is a product of Moscow hockey, making his KHL debut in the 2022/2023 season. In total, he has played 131 games with 30 points (18 goals, 12 assists) and a plus-minus rating of +8. He will wear number 12 for the Omsk team.

Earlier, NGS55.RU reported that 29-year-old forward Kirill Pilipenko moved to Avangard.
