Alexander Osipov named new head coach of Rubin Tyumen

The Tyumen hockey club Rubin has appointed a new head coach ahead of the playoffs.

On the official resources of hockey club Rubin, the name of the new head coach for this season was announced. It is Alexander Osipov, a legendary Tyumen product.
Konstantin Fast served as Rubin«s head coach from the start of the season and will remain with the team.

‘Alexander Osipov has returned to his home club. Despite being born in Nizhny Tagil, Osipov received his hockey education in Tyumen. He debuted here for the masters team, after which he left for the KHL. During his career in the Continental Hockey League (KHL), Alexander played for Amur from Khabarovsk, Moscow region«s Atlant, SKA from St. Petersburg, Ak Bars from Kazan, Moscow»s Dynamo and Spartak, as well as Avangard from Omsk,’ the hockey club Rubin said.
Note that Osipov won the main VHL (Supreme Hockey League) cup as part of Rubin. In September 2024, the player ended his playing career.
Konstantin Fast, who led Rubin this season, will remain with the team.
‘With the goalies in Rubin, Ilya Popov will continue to work. Coach Anatoly Raenko has left the Tyumen club, and Vladislav Dashkevich has returned to the system of the sports training center ‘Tyumen Legion’,’ added the club.
Currently, the Tyumen team is in the playoff zone and can contend for the main tournament trophy. Not many matches are left before the start of the elimination games.
