Muscovites to see Snow Moon in early February

The Snow Moon will rise in the sky in early February, offering a celestial sight for observers.
At the beginning of next month, Muscovites will be able to see a spectacular celestial event—the Snow Moon will rise in the sky at 01:09 on Monday, February 2. The full moon will be in the constellation Cancer, according to the amateur astronomy website Starwalk.
It is clarified that in clear weather, the Moon will appear full on the nights before and after February 2. On February 1, it will be positioned between two bright stars—Pollux in Gemini and Regulus in Leo.
‘On the same night, the full Moon will pass near the Beehive Cluster (M44) in the constellation Cancer. The closest approach will occur at 16:19 Moscow time. Although in theory the approach should look impressive, in practice the Moon«s bright light may hinder observation of the Beehive Cluster,’ the observation site says.
The Snow Moon got its name from the traditions of Native American tribes. It is in February that North America was covered by heavy snowfalls. The next full moon, the Worm Moon, is expected on March 3 at 14:38 Moscow time. The Snow Moon will occur again next year—on February 21 at 02:23 Moscow time.
