Famous medical blogger and pseudoscience fighter to visit Tyumen for two days
Two lectures by physician, journalist, and popular science blogger Alexei Vodovozov (6+) will be held in Tyumen, in Siberia, Russia. The well-known lecturer is coming to the city in February.
The events are scheduled for February 14 and 15, with different programs each day. On the first day, Alexei will discuss the connection between medicine and music, as well as misconceptions and real scientific discoveries at the intersection of these two fields. The lecture will be held at 30 Vodoprovodnaya Street at 3:00 p.m.
The second meeting will take place at the House of Printing. There, Alexei will talk about specific medical humor, doctor slang, and how to understand an unclear diagnosis you receive in a hospital. This lecture is set for February 15 at 4:00 p.m.
Tickets for both events are sold for 1,200 rubles (approximately $12 at current rates).
Who is Alexei Vodovozov?
Alexei Vodovozov is a Moscow-based therapist of the highest qualification category, a toxicologist, a science journalist, and a medical blogger, author of the channel «Smotrovaya Voenvracha» (Military Doctor«s Review).
He is a participant in the educational forum «Scientists Against Myths» and campaigns against medical quackery, including the use of homeopathy.
