Famous medical blogger Alexei Vodovozov to give lectures in Tyumen

In February, Tyumen will host famous medical blogger and science popularizer Alexei Vodovozov. During his visit, he will conduct two open lectures.
The first meeting is scheduled for 14 February. At 15:00 at the address Vodoprovodnaya, 30, Alexei Vodovozov will speak on the topic of the connection between medicine and music, debunking myths and presenting scientific facts.
On 15 February at 16:00, the second lecture will take place at the House of Printing. It will focus on the specifics of medical humor, professional slang of doctors, and how patients can understand a complex diagnosis.
Tickets for each event can be purchased for 1200 rubles (approximately $16 at current rates).
Who is Alexei Vodovozov?
Alexei Vodovozov is a physician-therapist of the highest qualification category, toxicologist, and science journalist from Moscow. He runs the author«s channel »Smotrovaya Voenvracha« (The Military Doctor»s Screening Room), participates in the educational forum «Uchenye Protiv Mifov» (Scientists Against Myths), and actively criticizes pseudoscientific methods in medicine, particularly homeopathy.
Previously in Tyumen, anthropologist Stanislav Drobyshevsky, Candidate of Biological Sciences and associate professor of the anthropology department at Moscow State University, gave a lecture on human origins and the evolution of consciousness.
