The center of attention this year is a shrine from the Trans-Urals region— the miraculous Utyatskaya Icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, dated 1749. Every guest has the opportunity to approach the ancient image, touch history, and ask for the most heartfelt desires.

The geography of participants is impressive. Representatives of churches and monasteries from St. Petersburg, Kirov Oblast, as well as guests from Serbia and Belarus, have come to Kurgan. For example, Archpriest Nikolai from Vladimir Oblast has been visiting us for several years. He tells townspeople with special warmth about the lives of Saints Peter and Fevronia— patrons of the family, whose example of love and faithfulness inspires people centuries later.

At the fair, one can find what is rarely seen in ordinary stores: natural clothing from Kostroma linen, cozy items from Mongolian wool, and weightless Orenburg shawls that will warm in any frost. Visitors can buy monastic herbal blends, natural oils made according to ancient recipes, and fresh honey from apiaries across the country. On the market stalls, handmade church utensils, icons, and jewelry are presented.
