Yaroslavl extends auction for sale of former clinic

The application deadline for the auction to sell the building of former clinic No. 1 on Moskovsky Prospekt in Yaroslavl has been extended until 2 March. The auction is scheduled for 5 March, according to information on the website of the Russian Auction House.
The announcement states:
The L-shaped building is located 1.6 km from the historic center of Yaroslavl, with its facade facing the city«s main transport artery—Moskovsky Prospekt. The surrounding development consists of low- and mid-rise buildings from the 19th-20th century period of the avenue»s construction, as well as modern buildings. Transport and pedestrian access to the property is excellent, with parking available in the building«s inner courtyard and on the adjacent plot near the building.
The lot includes several properties:
- a two-story hospital building with an area of 1,770.5 sq m, which is a local cultural heritage site «The Building of the Children»s Nikolaevsky Shelter«, from 1855, 1862, 1903;
- a fluorography building with an area of 118.5 sq m;
- a garage with an area of 47.6 sq m;
- a shed with an area of 57.2 sq m;
- a land plot with a total area of 2,023 sq m.
The historic building originally belonged to Yaroslavl merchant Alexei Trunov, who opened a children«s shelter there in 1858. In 1904, the shelter was expanded with donations.
The starting price of the property is 88,829,738 rubles (approximately $888,300 at current rates). To participate in the auction, a deposit of 8,882,973.80 rubles (approximately $88,830) must be paid. The winner will be the participant who offers the highest price.
Previously, the sale of this building did not take place due to lack of interest. The price had to be reduced after the clinic was urgently closed and declared unsafe in summer 2023.
Instead of the old building, Governor Mikhail Yevrayev promised to build new modular clinics on Gogol and Melnichnaya streets. However, the construction on Gogol Street led to a criminal case.
Experts previously explained that it is unlikely to quickly sell the former clinic on Moskovsky Prospekt.
