Official: No problem demolishing Khrushchyovkas in Yekaterinburg renovation
Old five-story buildings can now be included in KRT projects if residents request it.
The authorities of Yekaterinburg are ready to include buildings with five stories and more in the Comprehensive Territorial Development (KRT) program. Acting First Vice Mayor Rustam Galyamov reminded that the renovation program already has one site with a four-story and a five-story building.
The head of construction in Yekaterinburg discussed the potential demolition of old five-story apartments under renovation.
«There is already such a project. At Podgornaya, 6, a four-story building, at Podgornaya, 2 — a five-story one. Both have been declared dilapidated. These are corridor-type dormitories, and this only complicates the task because there are very many owners. The auction has been completed, work is underway. Essentially, we have started the work [on including multi-story buildings in KRT],» Rustam Galyamov told E1.RU.
He noted that for including five-story buildings in KRT under federal legislation, there are a number of requirements: year of construction, availability of networks, and more. Nevertheless, they are ready and plan to include them in the renovation program. The main condition is that the residents of such houses themselves must want it and write a corresponding appeal. New sites for KRT are currently determined on the same principle.
«Currently, there are 18 already concluded KRT agreements in the city, and we always focus on people»s appeals. If there are appeals from owners [to include their houses in the program], we will consider and include them. If there are appeals, then houses with even more stories can be included. There is no problem with this. If they meet the criteria, we are all for it,« emphasized the acting first deputy head of Yekaterinburg.
Renovation has been operating in Yekaterinburg since 2022. The first house built under KRT was delivered last year.
