Electric houses, where electricity will be the sole energy source for heating, are set to appear on the territory of the Sibzavod plant. The developer Trust-Invest reported this to former Omsk mayor Oksana Fadina. The official published the company«s response on her Telegram channel.

The CEO and owner of Trust Invest is the well-known Omsk developer Alexey Pevnev, who, among other projects, oversaw the construction of a school in Kuzminki.

In 2024, the company«s revenue amounted to 73 million rubles (approximately $811,100), while its net loss was 6,000 rubles (approximately $67).

The plans also include creating niches for boilers in every apartment. This will ensure residents are not left without hot water even during scheduled supply shutdowns.

«The school in the Serebryany Bereg (Silver Shore) microdistrict is located in close proximity to a 110 kV substation. Having such capacity allows the developer to reserve heating in the form of electric heating. In addition, when designing the houses, niches for installing boilers in each apartment are being considered to eliminate interruptions in hot water supply and to eliminate dependence on thermal generation,» the statement said.

According to the developer, using electricity will allow maintaining a comfortable temperature in the building regardless of heat suppliers and will also reduce utility costs.

They plan to develop the plot between the Serebryany Bereg microdistrict, Krasny Put (Red Way) Street, and Kemerovskaya Street. It was reported back in 2020 that residential buildings would appear there, when the pipes of the former boiler house at Sibzavod were demolished.
