“As is known, the territory of the abandoned elevator was a gathering point for various groups, stalkers, and other guys who used to climb on our roofs. Now we are already in the final stage of demolition. And I think we will complete it by March,” said Alexey Petrov, a representative of Inko, at the public talk “Present and Future of the ‘Tura’ Microdistrict” in the MegaTyumen press center.

Instead, a new residential complex will be built on the site of the former elevator. What it will look like is still unknown. For now, the developer plans to build pedestrian walkways on the piers.

“The elevator has three grain piers and two loading piers. If possible, in coordination with various agencies, we would like to transform them and set up pedestrian walkways there. That is, to preserve the history and for citizens to use for walks,” stated the development company.

The elevator is not the only building being demolished in Tyumen. We previously wrote about five buildings that were wiped off the face of the earth in our city in 2025.
