City auctions off Vtorchermet land with houses for demolition
Twelve houses are slated for demolition as part of the land auction.
Two plots with a total area of 28,300 square meters at Vtorchermet in Yekaterinburg will be put up for auction. The territory was previously included in the renovation program, and now the city administration has set the starting price. Bidding will start at 693,049 rubles (approximately $7,700 at current rates), with an auction step of 34,600 rubles (about $384).

On the plots, 12 houses will be demolished within the boundaries of Selkorskaya Street, Musorgsky Street, Gazorezchikov Street, Obkhodnoy Lane, and Okruzhaya Street. Initially, a nine-story building at Selkorskaya, 64a was also included in the program, but it was decided to preserve it.
In addition to constructing new buildings, the auction winner will need to develop design and estimate documentation for the major renovation of School No. 21 and build a kindergarten.
In December, the price was set for the first plot of the comprehensive territory development (CTD) on Novaya Sortirovka, bidding for the land with five houses on it will start from 277,500 rubles (about $3,100). But at auctions, the cost of plots usually increases many times over. One of the record auctions started at 326,000 rubles (approximately $3,600), but the land was eventually sold for 504 times more — for 164.4 million rubles (around $1,826,700). Local developers stated that such an increase in plot prices at auctions is a problem.
The renovation program has been operating in Yekaterinburg since 2022. The first house built under the CTD was commissioned last year. Plots that are included in the comprehensive territory development program are marked on an interactive map. Recently, another plot was given over for renovation.
