Former District Head Fadeenko to Serve in Military
The court suspended proceedings on the bribery criminal case against Oleg Fadeenko after he signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

On January 29, the united press service of the courts of St. Petersburg reported that the court granted the petition of the city«s military commissariat to suspend the criminal case against former head of Krasnoselsky District Oleg Fadeenko.
The petition was filed on January 23, 2026, due to Fadeenko signing a contract for military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Fadeenko was charged with a particularly large bribe (Part 6, Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in December 2024. The investigation believes that he received monetary compensation for assisting in concluding contracts for the protection of budgetary institutions. On the same day, he was dismissed from his position.
The defendant admitted guilt, and a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions was chosen for him. The trial of another participant in the scheme, Musheg Karapetyan, continues.
