Former deputy minister of economic development of Zabaykalsky Krai Yulia Ivanova has been hired by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, where she will work on tourism development and attracting investment. She wrote about this on her VKontakte page on January 28.

«Today marks a new stage in my professional journey! I have been accepted into the team of the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic / Far East and Arctic Development Corporation. The first working day is behind me, and there are many interesting tasks and projects ahead. I will be dealing with tourism development and attracting investment to the regions of the Far East and Arctic. I have already received specific tasks from the management and am ready to start working,» wrote Ivanova.

On the screenshot she published, the position indicated is deputy director of the investment department.

Yulia Ivanova from 2016 to 2018 was engaged in public activities for the development of domestic tourism. From early 2018 to September 2020, she worked at the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Buryatia, where she was involved in supporting tourism industry entities, and developing event, children«s, business, and gastronomic tourism. From October 2020 to April 2021, Yulia Ivanova held the position of assistant to the minister of economic development of Zabaykalsky Krai. From April 2021, she became deputy minister.

The outflow of strong managers from Zabaykalye to other regions was commented on by deputy Andrei Gurulev. He believes that capable specialists do not find their place in the current management system, do not see opportunities for growth, for influence, for real work.

As an example, he cited the relocation of Zabaykalye doctors to Khabarovsk Krai. He also recalled former deputy minister of education and science of Zabaykalsky Krai Aryuna Baikova, who now works in Chukotka as deputy governor, and former head of the regional branch of the «Defenders of the Fatherland» fund Tatyana Lonshakova, who became deputy minister of education and science of Khabarovsk Krai.
