What job would you dream of doing if money didn’t matter? With that question, reporters from E1.RU (Yekaterinburg Online) went out to speak with Yekaterinburg residents and asked them to imagine. The answers surprised us. Just take a look at this video!

Respondents named the most unusual professions: from a caretaker at a cat shelter to a sommelier who samples pinecone jam. Here are just a few answers:

  • «I want to work in uranium mining, because as a child I loved collecting little stones by the river. I can tell ugly stones from pretty ones and will collect only the best uranium for our country».

  • «I would like to be a pinecone-jam sommelier, because my grandmother made very delicious pinecone jam when I was a child».

  • «I would like to listen to music for money, since the music industry is very bad right now; I’d cash in on it and make a lot of money».

Job vacancy news is collected on a dedicated E1.RU page — in the Jobs section. There we also unpack the nuances of hiring and dismissal. For example, we recently examined how to retire two years earlier than scheduled and when it’s best to use remaining vacation days. We also reported on when Russians can expect a six-day workweek.
