In Egypt, missing Yekaterinburg residents Nikita Talanov and Vladislav Revenko have been found. They are in police custody. E1.RU confirmed this information with the embassy.

«Three Russians arrived from Yekaterinburg to Sharm el-Sheikh on January 21, from where they independently traveled to Cairo and soon ceased contact with relatives. After the compatriots failed to show up for their return flight, the embassy sent a request for assistance in establishing their whereabouts to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and law enforcement agencies of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

According to preliminary information received from there, they are currently in Egyptian police custody. The circumstances of what happened to them are being investigated. All efforts are being made for the safe return of the tourists to Russia,« the Russian embassy in Egypt said.

The third detainee is a friend of the Ural men from Krasnodar.

«There is a response from the Egyptian Ministry of Internal Affairs that the guys were detained. It is not yet known where and for what. But they are alive and well. It turned out that, in addition to Nikita and Vlad, their friend from Krasnodar was also detained. Whether there will be charges from the Egyptian police or if they only face deportation is unclear,» explained Vlad«s father Pavel.

The group of guys flew to vacation in Sharm el-Sheikh on January 21, and on the 27th they were supposed to return back. A day before the flight, the tourists stopped answering calls and messages, and never arrived at the airport. Before disappearing, they had gone to Cairo.

«My son posted photos of the pyramids at eight in the evening — and disappeared. There is a possibility that they might be in police custody. They have one hobby — graffiti, they are street artists. And I have suspicions that they went there for that purpose. I»m not sure, of course, but we cannot contact them in any way,« explained earlier to E1.RU the mother of 27-year-old Nikita.
