Farewell ceremonies for several residents of Omsk Oblast who died in the Special Military Operation were held over the past two weeks. Here is what is known about them.
Information about the death of Artur Zolotarev, a graduate of the Omsk Regional College of Culture and Arts, appeared on 19 January. He died back in August 2025 on the Pokrovsk direction, but his relatives learned about what happened only at the end of December.
After finishing college, the young man enrolled in the directing and acting department at the Moscow State Institute of Culture and successfully graduated in 2015.
«This is a heavy and irreplaceable loss for his family, friends, colleagues, and for the entire professional community in which he studied and began his journey. The memory of Artur will forever remain in the hearts of his classmates and the professors of the directing department. He was a bright star of his course, always smiling, cheerful, responsive, and kind. His sparkling humor, energy, and talent surprised and delighted everyone who knew him,» the obituary stated.
A farewell ceremony for 25-year-old Evgeny Burkov was held on 22 January. He died on 22 December of last year. The serviceman signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense on his own initiative in March 2022. He did not have time to start a family.

On 26 January, a resident of the Znamensky District, Alexey Mozhaev, was buried. He died in October 2024, at the age of 33.

The administration of the Okoneshnikovsky District reported on the farewell ceremony for 52-year-old Private Andrey Krasnyakov. The serviceman was buried yesterday, 28 January. He signed a contract in November 2025 and died on 10 January 2026.
«Andrey Nikolaevich was born on 7 October 1973 into a large family. He studied at the Okoneshnikovo school and then at Vocational School No. 19 to become a tractor driver. He signed a contract in November 2025. He served as a gunner in a motorized rifle battalion.»
