Voronezh Kia Driver Hits Man Lying on Road

A man died after being struck by a Kia driver while lying on a road in Voronezh Region, according to police.

In Voronezh Region, a man died under the wheels of a foreign car. This was reported by the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The tragedy occurred on Wednesday, January 28, around 7:45 p.m. near house No. 1 on Lenin Street in the village of Velikoarkhangelskoye, Buturlinovsky District. According to preliminary police data, a 29-year-old driver of a Kia Spectra ran over a 44-year-old man lying on the roadway.

The pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene of the accident before medical personnel arrived. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

In total, on Wednesday, 149 traffic accidents occurred in the region. Of these, 83 were in Voronezh, 49 in the districts of the region, and 17 on federal highways. In six accidents, six people were injured, and one was killed.
