Unlicensed Scooter Rider Crashes into Toyota in Pyatigorsk

Accidents occur daily on the roads of Stavropol Krai. Unfortunately, incidents often result in injuries for traffic participants. This case is no exception. In the resort city, a scooter driver lost control and crashed into a car.

According to the Stavropol Krai State Traffic Inspectorate, the accident occurred yesterday, January 28, around 6:00 PM. A 24-year-old scooter driver failed to handle his vehicle and crashed into a Toyota, driven by a 65-year-old Pyatigorsk resident.
As a result of the accident, the young man — a resident of a neighboring region — was injured. He was taken to the hospital with a leg fracture.
Traffic inspectors found that the scooter driver had no license. It is worth noting that according to clause 2.1.1 of the Traffic Rules, a person driving any vehicle is required to have a driver«s license. This applies to mopeds as well, so an administrative protocol was drawn up against the young man under Part 1, Article 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation »Driving a vehicle by a driver without the right to drive a vehicle«. Under this article, he must pay a fine of up to 15,000 rubles (about $167 at current rates).
Recall that recently on the 198th kilometer of the Rostov-on-Don — Stavropol highway, a Mazda driver lost control and veered off the road, after which the car overturned. In the back seat, in a child restraint device, was a small passenger — a 7-month-old child. He was taken to the hospital.
