Ufa private school scandal involves disabled child

The mother of a disabled child stated that her son was bullied at one of the private educational institutions near Ufa. According to the woman, she has already filed complaints with the relevant authorities. UFA1.RU spoke with the student«s parent and the school»s management.

This concerns an organization in the village of Shmidtovo. A woman from Ufa shared that two of her children attended the school — the younger Vladislav and the older Nikolai (names changed). The scandal was sparked by an incident where Vlad somehow locked himself in a classroom, «because the lock was faulty,» after which the door couldn«t be opened — as a result, the lesson was disrupted. If the mother is to be believed, the child was publicly reprimanded harshly, and Kolya defended his brother and recorded everything that happened.

«My family was called rotten for this. The director expelled my older son from the lesson and kicked him out,» the woman stated.

At the school itself, we were told that the relationship between the tutors and Vlad«s family had long been strained. According to the teachers, the boy often had episodes where his behavior was uncontrollable.

«[The parents did not warn us in advance] that the child has disabilities. When these episodes started, he could even start throwing chairs. He starts screaming for no reason. He attacked others with fists. We repeatedly called and asked them to take him away. This year we only studied online, and when we switched to offline, this incident happened immediately,» the tutor explained her point of view.

The situation with the disrupted lesson was described to us as follows:

«It started the same way. He locked himself in and started having a tantrum. We calmed him down for a long time, every teacher tried to approach him, then we asked him why, for what purpose he locked the door. He said that allegedly one boy took his money. We started investigating, the children said that he himself brought money from his piggy bank and started offering it to everyone.»

In a conversation with UFA1.RU, the boys« mother added that she wrote complaints to the prosecutor»s office, the children«s ombudsman, as well as to the administration of the Ufa district, the tax office, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. According to the woman, the school allegedly did not have a license, and in her version, fire safety was not observed within the institution»s walls, and payment for classes was strictly in cash.

The institution«s side explained to us that de jure they are not a school — the organization is a group of self-employed tutors who regularly pay taxes.

At the end of October, as UFA1.RU reported, law enforcement became interested in one of the schools in Ishimbay. Relatives of a ninth-grade student said that the girl had a nervous breakdown due to bullying.
