Tyumen accident: Woman dragged several meters by car
A traffic accident occurred in the center of Tyumen on 28 January at around 5 p.m. The surveillance footage was published by the Tyumen Emergency Situations (ChS Tyumen) community on VKontakte.
The video shows a woman in a hood trying to run across the roadway outside of a crosswalk. She notices the approaching car too late, tries to jump back, slips, and falls under the wheels. The vehicle drags her for about 10 meters before colliding with another passenger car.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) reported that a pedestrian and a passenger were injured in the crash. A Honda hit the woman, and was then thrown into a KIA. The pedestrian was diagnosed with a pelvic bone injury.
An inquiry has been sent to the Tyumen Region Health Department to clarify details about the victims« condition. At the time this report was prepared, no response had been received from the agency.
