Two hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash on Voronezh-Luhansk highway

A crash involving four passenger cars occurred on the Voronezh–Luhansk highway in the Ostrogozhsky district on 28 January. This was reported by the regional police department.

At approximately 11:50 on the 72nd kilometer of the highway, a 31-year-old driver of a Geely Emgrand, a resident of the Buturlinovsky district, lost control on the road in freezing rain and crashed into a Peugeot Boxer driven by a 48-year-old resident of the Rossoshansky district. The impact sent the second vehicle into a ditch.
The Geely Emgrand then veered into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Hyundai Solaris driven by a 33-year-old resident of Ostrogozhsk and a Chevrolet Lanos driven by a 39-year-old resident of Belgorod Oblast.
As a result of the crash, the driver of the Hyundai Solaris and a passenger of the Geely Emgrand, a 39-year-old resident of Voronezh, were taken to hospital. Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
