Two Children Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision in Volgograd

Two children, aged 7 and 9, were injured and taken to the hospital after an accident that occurred on the morning of January 28 in Zhilgorodok. Three cars collided — foreign and domestic sedans and a Japanese SUV.

— According to preliminary information, at 7:55 on January 28, opposite building No. 14 on Vostochno-Kazakhstanskaya Street, a collision occurred involving three cars — a Kia Rio, a Mitsubishi Pajero, and a VAZ-2106, police reported. — As a result of the accident, two passengers in the Kia — children aged 7 and 9 — were taken to the hospital.

Judging by a photo from the accident scene taken by traffic police officers, the cars collided at the intersection of Vostochno-Kazakhstanskaya and 51st Gvardeyskaya streets. The SUV and the domestic «six» (VAZ-2106) collided with their left front corners, and the white Kia had its front end smashed. Later, the department clarified that both children were taken to Hospital No. 7, where after examination they were sent for outpatient treatment.
