A fatal car accident occurred in the Kushnarenkovsky District of Bashkiria. The traffic police (GIBDD) reported that the 38-year-old driver of a Gazelle-Next died after a Mercedes-Benz truck crashed into it.
The accident happened on the approach to the federal highway M-12 from the R-240 road (80th kilometer). The 46-year-old driver was behind the wheel of the truck, traveling from Dyurtyuli to Ufa.
«To avoid hitting a stationary Lada Granta, [the truck] moved into the oncoming lane, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Gazelle-Next,» the press service of the Bashkiria traffic police reported.
The Gazelle driver died at the scene of the accident. An investigation is underway, and traffic police officers are ascertaining all the circumstances of the incident.
