Truck Driver Fatally Hits Pedestrian on Novosibirsk Highway
A 57-year-old pedestrian died at the scene after being struck by a truck on highway R-254 in Novosibirsk region.
A fatal traffic accident occurred on the evening of January 20 in the Tatarsky district of Novosibirsk region. At the 991st kilometer of the federal highway R-254, the driver of a Mercedes Actros truck hit a pedestrian. This was reported by the regional traffic police.
According to preliminary data, the 59-year-old driver was coming from Omsk. At that moment, a 57-year-old man was crossing the roadway from left to right in the direction of the vehicle. He died at the scene from his injuries.
At the time of the accident, the pedestrian«s outer clothing did not have reflective elements.
Novosibirsk police are searching for the perpetrator of an accident on Berdskoye Highway, in which two people were injured. The accident occurred two hours before the New Year.
