The fatal traffic accident occurred on Wednesday, January 28. According to preliminary data, a Volvo truck veered into the oncoming lane, lightly hitting a Lada Granta car. This was followed by a collision with a KAMAZ truck and an Audi A6.

The Traffic Police of Tyumen Region commented: «After that, there was a head-on collision with a GAZelle Next van. The Volvo truck then went off the road into a ditch and hit a tree. The driver was trapped in the crumpled cabin, and rescuers are trying to save him.»

The KAMAZ driver was also trapped in his cabin and died at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Audi, who are a married couple, as well as the driver of the GAZelle minibus, sustained injuries of varying severity.

The deceased was named Yevgeny Mikryukov. His acquaintances in the «Typical Irbit» community noted that the man was the sole breadwinner in the family. He is survived by his wife, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

The family is not only facing a heavy loss but also the need to raise funds for the funeral. Yevgeny Mikryukov«s body will be delivered to Irbit for a farewell ceremony and burial.
