Truck Crash Kills Man Near Tyumen; Wife Fights Cancer
A 34-year-old resident of Irbit died in an accident near Tyumen. He was behind the wheel of a KAMAZ truck during a mass crash, as reported by our colleagues from 72.RU.
The fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, January 28. According to preliminary data, a Volvo truck drove into the oncoming lane, lightly hitting a Lada Granta car along the way. Then, a collision occurred with a heavy KAMAZ truck and an Audi A6 car.
“After that, a head-on collision occurred with a Gazelle Next van. The heavy Volvo truck then veered into a ditch and hit a tree. The driver was trapped in the crumpled cab, and rescuers were trying to save him,” wrote the traffic police of Tyumen Region at the time.
The driver of the KAMAZ truck was also trapped and died. Injuries were sustained by the driver and passenger of the Audi, a married couple, and the driver of the Gazelle.
The deceased«s name is Yevgeny Mikryukov. His acquaintances wrote in the local group ‘Typical Irbit’ that the man was the sole breadwinner in the family. At home, he left behind a wife who is battling cancer.
Now the family faces not only human grief but also the need to raise funds for the funeral. Yevgeny«s body will be returned to his hometown for farewell and burial.
