Three Die in Fire After Fatal Crash in Rostov Oblast
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with a traffic accident in Rostov Oblast where three people burned to death, according to the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (GU MVD).
A collision between a Renault Duster and a MAZ truck resulted in a fire that caused three fatalities.
The tragedy occurred on the morning of 20 January on the road Elista – Remontnoye – Zimovniki, where a Renault Duster and a MAZ truck collided.
«While overtaking, the driver of the passenger car, a woman born in 1966, failed to ensure the maneuver was safe and collided with a truck and semi-trailer driven by a man born in 1995,» the police statement said.
The Renault caught fire, killing the driver and two passengers inside. A four-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Renault was injured and taken to the hospital.
The criminal case was initiated under the article «Violation of traffic rules resulting in death through negligence.»
