Law enforcement officers in the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg detained a 13-year-old teenager who set fire to a Mercedes car on the evening of January 29. The incident occurred on Begovaya Street near house No. 9, not far from the police department building.
Currently, the detainee is with his parents at the investigative committee of the Primorsky District. A criminal case will not be initiated against the teenager due to his age, but he may be placed on preventive registration with the police.
This is already the second case of arson near police stations in the city in recent weeks. Earlier, about a week ago, in the Vyborgsky District, another 13-year-old was detained who attempted to set fire to service vehicles at the 58th police department. The investigation is checking whether these incidents are independent actions by teenagers or related to the influence of messenger channels.
