Taxi Explosion at Rostov Court; Hearings to Proceed

Early in the morning, an explosion occurred near the Pervomaisky District Court in Rostov-on-Don. A taxi service car was damaged, which caught fire immediately after the incident and was almost completely burned out.

«It happened around 09:00. I arrived at the court, it was quiet — and then an explosion. People, of course, got scared, jumped back. The car instantly caught fire,» an eyewitness to the incident said. «There was no driver in the car. Then everyone arrived, so many police were there, I thought the court would be canceled.»
Emergency services personnel quickly arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the fire swiftly. According to preliminary data, the burning car belonged to a taxi fleet. City residents were informed that the hearings scheduled for today at the court are not being canceled.
«We were later told that a gas cylinder in the taxi exploded,» another Rostov resident who was at the court today said. «They said the hearings would continue, but they would enhance security checks at the court just in case.»
No official comments have been received yet from law enforcement agencies in Rostov Region regarding the explosion.
