Russian Defense Ministry Details Overnight Explosions and Drone Interceptions

The Russian Ministry of Defense published a morning report on the elimination of Ukrainian drones on the night of January 30. According to the department, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 18 aircraft-type UAVs in total. The drones were shot down over six Russian territories, with the most massive attack repelled over Bryansk region — seven drones were eliminated there. Five UAVs were destroyed over Crimea, two each over the Black Sea waters and Rostov region, and one each over Astrakhan and Kursk regions.
In Voronezh region, a calm operational situation has been maintained for more than a day at the time of publication. An attack danger regime was introduced in the region on the evening of January 28, then a missile danger was declared twice, and in one of the municipalities — a threat of immediate strike, sirens were activated. On the morning of January 29, Governor Alexander Gusev reported on the destruction of a UAV. Prior to that, during a drone attack on the night of January 27-28, petroleum products caught fire in Voronezh region. Meanwhile, readers of Voronezh1.ru noted that mobile internet is being shut off less frequently in Voronezh. Authorities explain this measure as necessary security precautions during the threat of drone attacks. However, after the New Year, as some Voronezh residents note, communication restrictions are not imposed as often.
