The preliminary cause of the fire at an auto service center on Sakharov Street in Yaroslavl has been revealed. The incident occurred on the night of January 20.

«Investigators from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MCHS) and specialists from the testing fire laboratory have preliminarily established that the fire at the auto service center was caused by an emergency mode of the electrical network,» the MCHS for Yaroslavl Region reported.

Recall that the report of the fire was received by rescuers on January 19 at 23:04. Witnesses reported loud bangs in the building (it is known that there were gas cylinders inside). At the scene, 32 rescuers and 12 fire trucks were working. The complete extinguishing of the fire was announced at 2:40 on January 20.

The fire damaged the auto service building, destroyed property inside, and damaged two outbuildings. Eight passenger cars burned, and three more vehicles were damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
