The court has ordered the arrest of a Porsche Cayenne driver responsible for a fatal traffic accident in the Gatchinsky District of Leningrad Oblast.

The investigation found that on January 17, the man, while intoxicated, drove into the oncoming lane in a prohibited area and collided with a LADA Kalina car.

After the crash, the suspect fled without assisting the victim or calling emergency services. The driver of the Kalina died at the scene.

A Ford car was also involved in the incident. Its 19-year-old passenger was not injured, while the at-fault driver sustained moderate injuries.

The Leningrad Oblast prosecutor«s office stated: »Moreover, in 2025, the man was held administratively liable over 130 times for traffic violations.«

After reviewing the case materials, the court upheld the prosecution«s position and ruled to detain the suspect.
