Nearly a Thousand Apartments, Over a Hundred Cars Damaged by Drone in Novaya Adygea

The head of the Republic of Adygea announced compensation for property owners following a drone strike.
In the village of Novaya Adygea, 981 apartments were damaged as a result of a drone crash. Also, 92 cars were damaged, 27 of which were burned. The republic«s authorities said they would provide financial assistance to the owners.
«In case of partial damage to a vehicle, the owners will receive compensation of up to 500 thousand rubles (about $5,400 at current rates), and in case of total loss — up to one million rubles (about $10,800). The republic will cover these payments,» the message from the head of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov, said.
As for the apartments, they will be restored free of charge by local developers. According to the Adygea authorities, a total of 30 apartment buildings and a number of private houses were damaged.
«The most serious damage was to building No. 15 — work on it is being carried out according to a separate, enhanced plan, which was drawn up taking into account the recommendations of experts. The roof has already been repaired, damaged structures have been dismantled, and the construction of new partitions has begun. The facade will be restored in parallel,» Kumpilov«s message said.
Thus, houses with minor damage are planned to be repaired within two weeks, and the most damaged ones — within five weeks.
Earlier, the portal 93.RU wrote that on the night of January 20-21, a drone fell on a parking lot near a residential complex in Novaya Adygea, according to local authorities. Then a fire started in the high-rise building and in the parking lot, and the fire engulfed the cars. A total of 13 people were injured, nine of whom were hospitalized.
