On the morning of January 30, an emergency occurred on Montazhnikov Street, 7B in Orenburg: due to a leak in the heating networks, the ground collapsed. As a result, two young people were injured, one of whom is a minor. They were urgently hospitalized.
As reported in his Telegram channel by Governor Yevgeny Solntsev, the water spill is being contained by specialists from Orenburg Heating Networks, although the pipeline is on the balance sheet of a nearby industrial enterprise. The damaged section of the heating main has been shut off, and water is currently being pumped out from the heat chamber. The head of the region has taken the situation under personal control.
«Today in the regional center, two people were injured as a result of a ground collapse. The people suffered burns and are currently hospitalized. Law enforcement agencies have already begun an inspection. I am taking the situation under personal control. I have instructed to provide all necessary assistance to the victims,» said Solntsev.
Regarding the incident, the prosecutor«s office has initiated an inspection. Also, the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under Article 238 of the Russian Criminal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements). The supervisory authority is monitoring the progress of the investigation.
