Former Crime Group Member and Friend Arrested with TNT in South

In southern Bashkortostan, law enforcement officers detained a former member of an organized crime group (OPG) who had given about a kilogram of TNT blocks to his acquaintance. Both were arrested. However, they were tracked down due to an entirely different case. Details were provided by the republican directorate of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

According to law enforcement, the first to be detained was a 30-year-old resident of Kumertau — he was suspected of illegal drug trafficking. Indeed, 80 grams of synthetic drugs were found on him. When officers searched the apartment, they found electronic scales and about a dozen mobile phones. Afterwards, they proceeded to a shed where explosives were stored — three TNT blocks.

The man said that he had taken them from a 50-year-old acquaintance who had been a member of an OPG more than 20 years ago.

Both were ultimately detained and arrested. They are accused of illegal transfer, storage, and sale of explosives, and the first individual additionally faces drug-related charges.

«I didn»t know what it was at all. I thought it was soap at first. Then I looked — it said «TNT»,« stated the 30-year-old detainee.

Recall that Kumertau has been rife with criminal news lately: in October 2025, law enforcement busted the so-called «watchman for Kumertau» — Nikita B., known as Boldyr. The 36-year-old criminal was accused of occupying a high position in the criminal hierarchy.

In addition, a serviceman from the special military operation (SVO) from Kumertau appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. He stated that he was beaten by a crowd in a club, and the new «watchman for Kumertau» is involved in this.
