A fire ignited in a building under construction at City Hospital No. 18, located at 2 Mavlyutova Street in Kazan. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the department, the blaze started on the basement floor of an annex attached to the main hospital building.

In response, 136 people, including 21 staff members, were evacuated from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of the existing hospital down to the first floor.
There were no reported injuries. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which covered an area of 3 square meters (approximately 32 square feet).
