Fire at Yaroslavl auto service center: 8 cars burned

The fire broke out at an auto service center on Sakharov Street in Yaroslavl on the night of January 20. «Investigators from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) and specialists from the testing fire laboratory have preliminarily established that the fire at the auto service center occurred due to an emergency mode of the electrical network,» reported the EMERCOM for Yaroslavl Region.
The alarm about the fire was received by rescuers on January 19 at 23:04. Witnesses reported pops in the building where gas cylinders were located. To extinguish the fire, 32 rescuers and 12 fire trucks were involved.
The complete extinguishing of the fire was announced at 2:40 on January 20. As a result of the incident, the auto service center building was damaged, property inside was destroyed, and two residential structures were also affected. Eight passenger cars burned, and three more vehicles were damaged. Fortunately, no people were injured.
The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
