A fire occurred at the «Ulitsa Proletarskaya» public transport stop in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. Fire crews and an ambulance team promptly arrived at the scene.

Witnesses reported that several fire trucks and an emergency medical service vehicle were at the stop near the canal. «It seems like something is burning,» noted local residents.
Forces from two fire subdivisions of the Krasnoarmeysky district arrived to extinguish the fire.

Witnesses observed smoke coming from under the pavilion«s roof. Firefighters from two district fire stations began extinguishing the blaze. The laid-out hoses suggested a possible short circuit as the cause of the fire.
The preliminary cause of the incident is said to be an electrical wiring short circuit in the flower pavilion located at the stop.
The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Volgograd Oblast provided details: «At 11:45, a report of a fire in the Krasnoarmeysky district was received. The wooden roof sheathing of the pavilion was burning over an area of 10 square meters. Employees of the 6th fire and rescue station localized the fire at 12:04.»
Several days ago, on the same street, a traffic accident involving several cars occurred. In one of them, the engine compartment caught fire, but firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, preventing them from spreading.
