Explosion Reported Near Rostov Court

In the morning, an explosion occurred near the Pervomaisky District Court in Rostov. The car belonged to a taxi service. According to an eyewitness, the vehicle caught fire immediately after the explosion and was almost completely burned to the ground.

“It happened around 09:00. I arrived at the court, it was quiet — and then an explosion. People, of course, got scared and jumped back. The car instantly caught fire,” an eyewitness recounted. “The driver wasn’t in the car. Then everyone arrived, so many cops were there, I thought the court would be canceled.”
Representatives of special services arrived at the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished. According to eyewitnesses, the burning car belonged to a taxi service. Citizens were later informed that court hearings would still take place today.
“We were later told that a gas cylinder exploded in the taxi,” another Rostov resident who was at the court today said. “They said the hearings would continue, but security checks at the court would be strengthened just in case.”
Rostov police reported the cause of the emergency. The driver smoked in the taxi; the car runs on gas, so it caught fire. There was no explosion as such. There is no crime in this incident, and no one was killed or injured.
