Commuter train hits woman on railway in Omsk Region

In Isilkul, Omsk Region, a commuter train struck a person, according to the transport police of Siberia.
Preliminary information indicates that a 32-year-old local woman was crossing the railway tracks outside a pedestrian crossing. The train driver spotted her and attempted to brake, but it was too late. She died from her injuries at the scene.
«Currently, transport police officers are working to establish the circumstances of the incident. The materials gathered by the transport police will be forwarded to the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia for further review and to clarify all details,» authorities stated.
