Child's pyrotechnics play may have caused Solnechnodolsk fire

The New Year has passed, but the danger of pyrotechnics has not disappeared. An incident was recorded in Stavropol Krai that might have started from a child«s prank.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) of Stavropol Krai, a fire covering an area of 5 square meters occurred in Solnechnodolsk on Molodezhnaya Street. A non-residential room in a house caught fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The preliminary cause was careless handling of fire. Specialists reported that a child might have been left in the premises who decided to play with pyrotechnics. The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

Residents of Stavropol are reminded that it is important to follow safety rules, not to store dangerous items in accessible places, especially if there are children at home.

Recall that recently the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case after an incident at a roadside cafe on the federal highway Kavkaz in Kochubeyevsky District. It concerns an explosion of a gas-air mixture that occurred on January 17 at the 232nd kilometer of the highway. Eight people were injured, including three minors. All of them were taken to medical institutions where they are receiving necessary assistance.
