Case opened over shooting of girl near Academ-Park
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on charges of hooliganism after an incident with an air pistol on Grazhdansky Prospekt. Suspected teenagers have been identified and are being sought.

Investigators from the Investigative Committee for the Kalininsky District of Saint Petersburg have opened a criminal case on charges of hooliganism. The reason was the wounding of a girl with an air weapon on Grazhdansky Prospekt, as reported on January 29 by the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the city.
The department«s statement reads: »Currently, the participants of the incident have been identified, and together with police officers, operational-search measures are being conducted aimed at detaining the individuals.«
The incident occurred near the Academ-Park shopping and entertainment complex. The victim sustained a wound to her cheek, having previously seen a group of teenagers, one of whom was holding a pistol. After the shot, the young people left the scene.
Police reviewed surveillance camera footage. During the check, it was revealed that the identities of the suspected schoolchildren are known not only to the juvenile affairs department but also to the criminal investigation unit.
