Woman demands neighbor stop looking into her windows in Omsk dispute

The Lubinsky District Court considered an unusual case about a dispute between two neighboring plot owners, who had accumulated a host of complaints against each other. The man who filed the lawsuit demanded that his neighbor reduce the height of the fence and ensure «ventilation».

The woman filed a counterclaim and demanded that the neighbor install water drainage and snow retention systems on his house. In addition, she wanted the man to cover the windows facing her plot with matte film for «protection from gazes».

As reported by the press service of the Omsk Region courts, the neighbors eventually reached a settlement. The man was required to cover three windows with matte film and install opening limiters on them. The woman will dismantle part of the fence facing the neighbor«s house and remove beehives from her plot by the summer of 2026.

After this, all mutual claims will be considered settled. As a result, the judge discontinued the proceedings, and the plaintiff was refunded 47,000 rubles (approximately $520 at current rates) that had been paid for an expert examination.
