Wife of SVO fighter in Togliatti faces 94,000 ruble water bill

A deputy of the provincial duma from Togliatti intervened in the situation of a resident of the «Motor City» and the wife of a serviceman in the special military operation. She told the parliamentarian about a huge debt that had accrued for her utility services.
«The wife of a soldier mobilized for the SMO, living on Zhilina Street, was charged 94,000 rubles (about $940) for water supply services over six months (from May to November). Neither the management company nor Volzhskie Kommunalnye Sistemy (Volga Municipal Systems) have given a clear answer about where such an astronomical sum came from. They assume there was a technical error, but no one has recalculated, and the debt still remains,» said Maksim Guseinov.
He added that he would appeal to the management of Volzhskie Kommunalnye Sistemy.
«We have repeatedly resolved similar issues with them, and I am confident that this time the path to correcting the situation will be short,» added the parliamentarian.
Earlier, deputies dealt with the problems of city residents who faced a sharp increase in tariffs for maintenance of in-house and in-apartment gas equipment.
Residents of the Samara region were upset twice: first by the very fact of adding another bill to the usual stack of utility receipts, then by the increased amounts of payments.
Some deputies and public figures stood up for the struggling payers, criticized the gas company, and promised to immediately… discuss everything. The gas company responded emotionally but with arguments.
The regional office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (UFAS) also intervened, obliging the monopolists to reduce tariffs.
